Sunday in Victoria

We headed into Victoria for the Art Walk. James Bay is a beautiful neighbor of gardens and Victorians bounded by Beacon Hill Park at one end and the waterfront on the other.

It was a wonderful opportunity to poke
into the gardens and studios of local artists.

This house, in the heart of James Bay,
was the childhood home of Emily Carr, the famous Canadian artist.

We saw a whole family of raccoons scampering across the street.

After the Art Walk we crossed the street to walk along the water.
There were three cruise ships anchored here.

We began to notice that a large number of people were gathering
 and so asked, "What's up?"
It seems we were just in time to see the Snowbirds,
Canada's equivalent of our Blue Angels, perform.

This is a picture, from the internet, of the simulator that the Snowbirds
set up when they do a show. There was a large line to try it out.
