Ragley Farm

Every Saturday, Ragley Farm, about two miles from us on East Sooke Rd., has a market. You come about 10:30, have coffee, tea, and fresh baked muffins. Visit with your neighbors. At 11:00 you can buy organic vegetables, flowers, and bread, still warm from the outdoor stone oven.

This is Nell, one of the milk cows. Later that morning at the Blackberry Festival, we had tea, scones, jam, and clotted cream, made that morning with cream from Nell.

Josephine and Rob Hill own and run this beautiful farm.
We feel so fortunate to have discovered this amazing gem.
The chickens run free, flower garden and apple orchards
are beautiful and bountiful, fresh baked bread and pies,
and the vegetables are fresh, organic,
and available so close to home.

The stone oven in the background is reverently referred
to as the "bread chapel".  The smell certainly was heavenly.

The farm's market is extremely well attended and after the causal visiting and tea, the people crowd into the building to purchased the farm goods.
It is fast and furious and the early birds get the .... well, you get the idea.

There are several very productive greenhouses.

Mom made friends with some calves.

The fields were lush with every kind of vegetable
