Mom arrived to spend the week here in Sooke with us.

The weather was beautiful all week and so we dined alfresco as often as we could.
Although you can buy wonderful scones in the grocery store,
Mom was inspired to do a little baking. We loved this cookbook of Robin's.
One morning we baked pinwheels and two kinds of bread!
The crabapples were ripe and if there had been time Mom would have pickled some!
I just used them for table decorations.
We went to Victoria shopping one day and ended up at Fisherman's Wharf for fish and chips.
The seals were having a little fish as well.
Mikey and Jake could take begging lessons from these two!
