Today was Anita's birthday!
So she slept in late, read in bed for a couple of hours,
and then we headed to the Metchosin Day Fair.
The best thing about this fair is the fun dog activities throughout the day.
Not just dogs in the pet contest ... miniature horses and
a lamb all decorated to win.
These lambs didn't fare as well. They were being prepared for the big barbecue dinner.
Some interesting country dancers performed ... some interesting country dances.
There was a fly dog demonstration
and then the kids lined up to challenge the dogs to a race.
Good luck, those dogs really could fly!
Back at the house, Anita and the boys played a little game of fetch.
Wonder if Jake could qualify as a fly dog?
