Natchez Mississippi

On the way home we stopped for two days in Natchez, Mississippi for the Annual Spring Pilgrimage. During this event locals dress in costume and lead tours through many of the Antebellum mansions. There are nightly entertainments as well.
We went to a play one night and a concert the next night.

Natchez sits on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River.

Egmont Key

Anita and I took the ferry to Egmont Key,
a small island off of Fort DeSoto.
We strolled the beach, looked for shells, snorkeled and swam.

Palm trees have very shallow roots.
