Anita and I spent a couple of hours after the Saturday Farmers/Art Market
in St. Petersburg at the Sunken Gardens on the outskirts of town. The fifties-looking sign made us think it was just another "roadside attraction" for sure, but it turned out to be a spectacular garden started in 1935 and continuously growing until the present. Besides the incredible plants and trees, there were many ponds, waterways, koi, tropical birds, and flowers.
Shady, cool and lovely on a warm day.
